A bedtime adventure
Malana and the Lantern of Little Stars
A tiny adventure about a brave girl, a silver owl, one very loyal boxer, and the night the stars needed catching.

One quiet night, a tap-tap-tap came at Malana’s window. A little silver owl stood on the sill, holding a rolled-up letter tied with gold ribbon.
It read: “Dear Malana, the Lantern that keeps the valley’s dreams cozy has gone out. You are the bravest girl we know. Will you help?”
Malana grinned, swirled on her star cloak, and whispered, “Let’s go.” Her boxer was already at the door.

The broom knew the way. Up they swooshed, over crooked chimneys and sleepy rooftops. Malana steered, the owl glided ahead, and the boxer perched on the bristles, ears flapping like little flags.
The moon was so big it felt like a friendly face, lighting a road made of sky.

At the top of the old stone tower sat the Lantern: grey, quiet, and completely out of sparkle.
But that very night, little stars were drifting down like golden snow. Malana held up her jar and caught them one by one, gentle as catching bubbles. “Almost… there!”

She poured the little stars inside, and WHOOSH! The Lantern blazed warm and gold, rolling soft light over every hill and home in the valley.
The owl hooted proudly. The boxer wagged his whole entire body. And Malana sipped her cocoa, watching the whole town glow.
“Sweet dreams, everyone,” she whispered. And everyone had exactly that.
